Abstract

Prode SP III Village, Plampang Sub-District, is one of the underdeveloped villages in Sumbawa District. Weak physical and non-physical potential is suspected to be the cause of its underdevelopment. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the efforts of the Prode SP III Village Government in transforming its status from an underdeveloped village to a developing village. This research used a descriptive method with a qualitative approach to describe the steps taken by the village government based on the POAC (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controlling) management principles. Data collection was conducted using direct observation, in-depth interview, and documentation study. The research subjects were the village head, village officials, and community leaders of the Prode SP III Village. The data analysis used is qualitative analysis with the Miles and Huberman model, with the following steps: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that transformation occurred through basic infrastructure development, strengthening the local economy via MSMEs and agriculture, improved access to education and health services, and active community involvement in development processes. Key supporting factors include natural resource potential, community participation, qualified human resources, and institutional support. This study concludes that village transformation depends not only on structural improvements but also on the social and cultural synergy built through participatory development.
