PENGARUH SAFETY TALK TERHADAP PERILAKU KESELAMATAN DAN KESEHATAN KERJA KARYAWAN PT. ADHI KARYA (PERSERO), TBK. CABANG SUMBAWA

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the safety talk program on the occupational safety and health behavior of employees at PT. Adhi Karya (Persero), Tbk. This research employs an associative research design. The type of data analyzed in this study is quantitative data in the form of respondents’ answer scores obtained directly from primary sources through questionnaires. The population in this study consisted of all employees at PT. Adhi Karya (Persero), Tbk. working on the construction project of a gas engine power plant in Sumbawa Regency, totaling 48 employees. The sample was determined using a saturated sampling method. Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression analysis, partial hypothesis testing (t-test), and the coefficient of determination test (R²). The study results showed that the safety talk program has a positive and significant impact on the occupational health and safety behavior of employees at PT. Adhi Karya (Persero), Tbk. This is confirmed by a calculated t-value of 2.859, which is greater than the t-table value of 2.013 (2.859>2.013), and a significance value of 0.006, which is lower than 0.05 (0.006 < 0.05). The ability of the safety talk program to influence employees’ occupational safety and health behavior at PT. Adhi Karya (Persero), Tbk. was 77.6%, while the remaining 22.4% was influenced by other variables not examined in this study, such as good knowledge and attitudes toward occupational safety and health, the availability of adequate personal protective equipment, and strict supervision of PPE usage.
