This study aims to analyze strategies for strengthening the role of halal product process assistants in accelerating the implementation of the halal certification program in Sumbawa Regency. The study employs a descriptive research design with a quantitative approach. The quantitative data consist of respondents’ questionnaire scores obtained directly from primary sources. The population comprises 88 halal product process assistants under the supervision of the Sumbawa Regency Halal Center. Total population sampling was used, with all population members included in the sample. The data were analyzed using Importance–Performance Analysis (IPA), covering three role indicators: facilitator, information provider and trainer, and technical supporter and evaluator. The results indicate that the three main roles, that is facilitator, information provider and trainer, and technical supporter and evaluator, need to be maintained and further developed to accelerate the implementation of the halal certification program in Sumbawa Regency. This finding is supported by the analysis, which places attributes associated with these three indicators in Quadrants I, II, and III of the IPA matrix. These findings indicate that the attributes are highly important and that their implementation performance requires substantial improvement. Therefore, strengthening and optimizing these three roles is crucial to accelerating the halal certification process in Sumbawa Regency.
